Im having a problem with Windows XP shutting down. When i go to shut it down it will shut down then it pops up with a screen telling me it is safe to shutdown my computer now. My problem is i cant find where in XP to tell it to auto shutoff my computer after that screen. When i try to click on the off button on my computer nothing happens and i cant find where in XP to change that.

Thanks

you need to add NT Apm/Legacy support to your sustem. To do this go to control panel, add new hardware, select the following:-

already have the hardware connected,
add new hardware device,
Install the harware manually,
then select NT Apm/Legacy support,
then click next and when done reboot and this should sort it out

If not then msg back.

Open the Power control panel. If there is a tab for APM, go to it and make sure the checkbox is checked.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
