Win XP character problem!

I restarted windows xp and I can't read a thing! Everything that had text before is now replaced with tons of weird-ass characters like circles, squares and other crap. What the hell happened??? It makes me think it was a character set that got messed up or something. Any ideas?

rollback? if you can still figure out where it is on the taskbar...

What exactly am I rolling back?

Also, any way you could explain precisely how to do it, as in, without reading text.

Also 2, I know it's not a virus, I some how managed to run my virus software and it came up with nothing.

If nothing else works, i'm going to try and re-install XP.
