Will this cpu work with my motherboard?

Save the bucks and get a complete rehaul down the road.

it should work... doesn't seem too cheap though

it's oem so it doesn't come with the fan... a boxed core 2 e6300 is about 180$ and beats the prescott easily

i think you're better off waiting for a full upgrade

I go with the wait and save your pennies gang on this one, get yourself a new motherbaord and cpu and then just hack apart that dell and transfer your ram and hard drive, dvd burner , whatnots to a whole new setup.
