Ok so where to start ... after a 10 hour wait we got home with our new Wii , 5 games and 2 Wiimotes ... we have all see pics it is a very attractive unit and the Wiimotes are very light and easy to hold, the first thing we wonder about is how silly we look while trying to hit a home run!!!! The game is just great , we have 5 kids ages 19 - 12 and every single one was laughing so hard it was a gas, baseball, bowling , golf , tennis all great fun .. the Wii sports we get with the game is perfect to help ease the Wiimotes into your hands...

Graphics are more then enough its not about graphics as soon as you start playing with a Wii you enter a new untouched area, its emersion 101 into fun .. laughs , tears and bellys cramps from watching a 12 year old girl trying to knock some guy out ,
someone who would have a hard time swatting a fly!!! it is hilarous and just plain fun...what can I say more then anyone who wants to have some real fun and I mean any age buy a Wii.

the end.

Re: Wii

Line waiting failed last night as I came in 77th in line out of 75 units the store had. This morning was another line wait but this time success as I came in 41st out of 42 units that were for sale.

Wii is nice and I really like the new remote controller. The wireless sensor has been spot on for whatever move I am doing. I have played Zelda for hours without any fatigue in my hands or fingers.

Gee Grandma, what big teeth you have... And gee Grandma, what hairy legs you have... :p

The Wii sounds like a gas to play. Cool. What was the pricing for everything you got? :D

Re: Wii

Got my Wii, November 19 12:01 am after spending 16 hours in my local meijers. They had 16 units, I arrived at 8:30 am and got the 11th spot on the list, called my two friends over and they got the 12th and 16th spot (lucky him) on the list so we waited around, chatted with our line-mates, watched the Michgan v OSU game all under the cozy roof of meijers (open 24 hours :) ), it was a good expirence, everything was orderly unlike so many PS3 lines that I've been hearing about. I only had enough money for the system and Zelda, I'll be getting more accessories and games next month. We had a small game of 3 player monkey ball mini-games this afternoon and a few rounds of red steel over at my friend's house. I'm very impressed with the system and it has met all my expectations so far... Pics are below

Re: Wii

Cool.
Now, the lucky idiotic campers at bestbuy got creat warm weather up here, was like 70 the entire week, granted it was rainy but 70 is great.

Re: Wii

Lets just say its not 70 in michigan... People were lining up at target at midnight for their 8am opening on the 19th, must have been about 30-40 degrees at best overnight :dead:

Re: Wii

That thing is tiny! WiiSports looks pretty entertaining too. :D
Congrats to the folks who managed to get one.

Re: Wii

Lol, its never this warm in MA at this time of year, they were lucky :(

Re: Wii

i got mine too. arount 12:20AM it was in my hands. was in position #26 out of 28 wii's thanks to someone i was talking to for the 6 hours i was there deciding to give it the spot to me instead of the friend he was holding the spot for after waiting for at least 10 hours since that friend didn't show up till 11:40PM. had i not gotten that space, i wouldn't have gotten a Wii either.

yes, it is tiny (yet pretty effing heavy for it's size.... anyone else notice that?). Wii sports is a blast.... or at least some of the games are.

Zelda is freakin top notch. think it'll probably be THE game to take down Ocarina of Time's #1 spot. kinda find it funny how some of the area's look almost identical to those in OOT.... namely Hyrule Field. i actually started going through the field, and stopped half-way thinking "hmm.... wonder where LonLon Ranch is." Turned a bit and thought "hm.... think that's where it SHOULD be"

Vanquished: just to answer your question.... no, it's not called the Wiimote. as far as i know that's just the name that the general public (i.e. Nintendo haters) gave it. usually it's called the Wii Remote, or just the remote.

edit: and DAMN do i wish i had enough money to get Tenkaichi 2 as well.... only had enough for the system and Zelda (zelda was #1 priority)
only thing i don't like about it so far is that you actually kinda aim at the sensor bar, not the TV.

Re: Wii

I see, my friend said that you can play COD3 with the sensor thing, would be fun, my only concern is if its laggy.
I think, if i sell my ps3s
i will end up getting all 3 systems,
The wii for the fun games, the ps3 for the best games, and the xbox 360 for Halo 3 :(

Or, ill mash em together:
The wiis3box

hehehe, I like:
The WiiBox360 :)

I have not had this problem and I have mine on top of the TV without the stand. I put the foam pads on the sensor and I have it placed so it is right on the front edge of the TV. I can aim anywhere toward the TV and the sensor picks up the motion. You may want to try going into Wii options and adjust the sensitivity of the sensor bar.

Re: Wii

hey guys for those of you that have the wii, or those who know the tech side of it, i was wondering exactly what media does the wii accept? some sites list it as accepting DVD's, but then i see other sites saying that it accepts 12cm "Wii Cd's". could anyone clear this up?

Re: Wii

Heard about that guys strap breaking and smashing their 60" TV -- has to be setup tho - will happen legit no doubt.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
