Wierd dual boot question

I have Win 2000 on my C: and Win XP on my E. It dual boots fine. I want to replace the Win 2000 partition with Win 98. Can I format my C drive and format it to fat 32 and then install 98?I would assume then my option to dual boot would disappear although my E drive is still fully intact. Then can I run a xp repair intallation on my E: and then get back the option of which OS to boot? I dont want to have to format my XP partition. Any help iss appreciated, thanks.

Yes that's how I did it and it worked fine. However I put WinME on c:/ instead of 98 but it's still the same. But just to be on the safe side always backup your important data.
