Why does my Favorite Webpage

icon dissappear? Yesterday all my favorite webpages have a icon next to their name.. Now its just the IE logo? Why do they dissappear.

I have always had problems with the IE page icons. I really don't know why it doesn't work.

Netscape 7, though, seems to keep the icons wonderfully.

IE stores favicon.ico in the cache, when you delete your cache it deletes the icons. There is a program called something like FavIcon that will save these icons to another location.

Are the icons really that important? Just curious.

So long as the link works, it's always been good enough for me.
