I run an apache serv and up until recently I didn't have to put www infront of my domain to get it to work, but now I have to, I use zoneedit to control my DNS and I use directupdate to update it, does anyone know why this change occured?

www is just a sub-domain of your main domain name that points to your main domain. The main reason for this is if you have added any other sub-domains to your domain e.g. mail.mydomain.com

Check to see if you have added anything in your Forward Lookup Zone as a Host or CNAME that is preventing you getting to your domain without the www.

A bit more info on your setting would be helpful

Thanks RickyC for the tip. I never thought about leaving off the www at home.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
