Why is this? Where are the settings or how do i adjust them? How do i get my score high?

My compo sepc is..

1.6 GhZ P4
256 DDR Ram
Radeon 9700 pro

The 1.6 gig P4 is a little slow to get best scores with a 9700 pro.

Check stuff like anisotropic off, and no anti aliasing to get the max scores. CHeck your properties, settings, advanced, 9700 pro
and set performance to max.

The 1.6 P4 could be costing you 20-25% on your score. Those high benchmarks are run with amd 2700 or P4 3 gig systems. the proc speed makes a diffference.

Yes, its probably the 1.6 costing you a lot of marks. Is it a willamette(256k cache) or northwood(512k cache)? The performance will differ between these. Also what speed is your ddr running at? This will make an impact on how many 3dmarks you get. Use 3dmark03, that will show the power of your 9700 :)

yep it's the 1.6p4 costing you those marks. and your
ddr ram speeds are?? and what cache does the p4 have?
256 or 512?

L1 cache 8 KB first-level
L2 Cache intergrated 256 kb or 512-kb at full microproccessing speed.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
