Here is how things seem to be working out for me.
The 28.32 drivers are beyond bad. The only way I can use them is if I turn off hardware acceleration.
The same goes for 30.82, but they seem to be a little more crash prone :-/
Then today I installed the 40.72 WHQL drivers and they seemed to work fine untill the my screen decided to go black for about a second. This seems to happen every time I try to run something. If I let the computer sit there, it's fine. But the more I move the mouse, and the more I click things, the more often the screen goes black, and then back to normal a few seconds later.
Funny thing is the beta drivers did the same thing.
At the moment I am using the Microsoft default drivers which work with no conflicts, but I bet they are also pretty slow.
Any ideas on how to fix this driver bug ? I still cant afford a new 3d card yet :-/, though I am looking to buy one here pretty soon.
