White screen problem with GF4 4200.

I get a wierd white screen problem whenever I hit certain scenes in Unreal 2, or The Thing. My screen just turns white, flashes with a few dots, and my system restarts on its own. I've tried switching drivers on the 4200, but nothing seems to help it. Im thinking it might be some bios settings incorectly set, or something alse evil.

Anyone got any clue on what it might be?

(btw, it runs 3dmark2003 fine.... and all other games.

Right click my computer/properties/advanced/startup & recovery. Untick automatic restart. Now you will get an error message that you can post.

am wondering if the games you are playing are RETAIL or WAREZED.. if you warezed them it is highly possible that the products are not present with all the files... since you are discussing unreal II I am assuming this game was downloaded...

if not let us know but its highly probable the fault is not with your system...

btw... if you have warezed.. please do not post anythng related here it is against forum guidelines...

The Thing is retail. Unreal 2, unfortunatly isnt out yet, so ya, it is slightly illegal. And both games run fine on a GF2MX400, (just at crappy fps)...

and ya, that wasnt 3dmark2003 (must have gotten confused with year, or ut2k3., )...

Ill try Hipster Doofus' suggestion and get back here, asap.

God... doesnt even give an error screen.... just hard freezed, and stays at white screen..... ...

any suggestions? :S
