Lower the FSB and set the memory from 2.5 to 2 or raise the FSB and relax the memory timings.

Higher FSB or tighter memory settings?

I know, I need a serious upgrade in hardware, but I am waiting for DDR 3 and AMD quad core cpu's.

Higher FSB is always better. I played with this a lot a few years back, during my overclocking phase.

FSB directly affects all performance (memory, math, etc.), memory timing is only a small percentage improvement to read/write tasks.

It really depends on the board and the platform but FSB almost always wins.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
