Hi all,
I had a PIII with GF2 and a sound blaster live 1024 sound card. I recently upgraded to a Athlon XP 2100 + Chaintech mobo. The mobo has on-board sound (C-Media CMI8738 ??). Which is best, the on board sound or the older sound blaster live 1024. The C-media has 6 channel support whereas the sound blaster has 4. However, as I only have 2 speakers at the moment that is not an issue.
I was more concerned about sound quality and which would put the greater load on the CPU.
I guess its time to start saving for a new graphics card.
Cheers.
