my keyboard isn't working to brighten the screen, does anyone know how to do this from the software side?

Do you want to brighten the screen itself or the gama control? Is this a laptop?

Excuse my ignorance, but my brightness control is on my monitor!:ermm:

it's a laptop and brightness is stuck in power saveing mode, the f buttons aren't working to brighten or dim the screen

If its a laptop it is a hardware problem since the brightness of your screen is controled by the bios. You should check there first. Also you may have to plug the laptop in before it brightens itself.

perris, as you know, laptops have a powersave function that reduces the brightness to prolong the battery life. Perhaps you could disable this feature through the control panel, display settings - for troubleshooting purposes!

it's plugged in allready, can't control brightness, I suspect I turned something off in trouble shooting that might be responsible

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
