A mate of mine is having problems starting windows.
Anyone??
I tried installing a new user account (in safe mode) still no luck.
When I boot in to safe it says ANDREW (my mate) is the administrator.
It's been working fine until (I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not) he installed Quickbooks Pro and CD Burning software I think it was Direct CD and something else.

hold down the shift key when you login, this should hoefully stop the program from loading. I'm guessing either direct cd is failing to load, so winxp panics and shutsdown, or you have atemperature monitoring program that is doing it

Ohhhh CRAP......
Since I posted the first message my laptop is doing a similar thing.
It used to automaticallly boot straight into WinXP Home, but now for some reason it came up with the logon window.
I thought it was strange but I continued and when I clicked on my name it said loading settings then it said saving settings and returned to the logon screen, it just keeps looping?????
I tried going into safe mode and using msconfig to stop all startup apps, still no luck.

Any ideas................
