26 Dell 2650's dual xeaon 3.2 (with fiber channel QLogic cards)
1 6650 (web application server)
1 CX500 SAN with 3 tb of space
2 Brocade switches (for SAN)
2 gigs of ram in each server...

All of this for one application

the best computer and probably the fatest i've used was a g5 dual 2.5 ghz with that sweet 23 in lcd - yum! don't know the RAM but probably the standard which is like 512mb.....

Silicon Graphics Inc has announced that it's supplying a 2048 processor Altix 3700 Bx2 to the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. Aside from running Linux on Itanium2 processors, the beast also features 13 TB of RAM
