It depends what your monitor can take though, as I say, my card will do up to 2048x1536, buy my monitor will only take 1600x1200.
The refresh rates I use are
1024x768 @ 100Hz
1280x960/1024 @ 85Hz
1600x1200 @ 75Hz

my monitor does same

i prefer 1280x1024 on 19" @ 85Hz tho

Me and Jonifen have just got a new pc in our office, its currently running at :

5120*1024

The only thing is this isnt quite enough for what we want so we will be adding 4 more 19" monitors!

i have miner on 1024x768 and i miss the 800x600 because things were bigger and easier to read. and i don't just mean in IE.

You can always adjust the DPI or the font size on your windows.
Both can be set in display properties

I use 1441 x 687.

This is not a popular resolution to use as some people would prefer to utilise 1442 x 687...
