What is plaguing me ?

Hi,
Can anybody help with this ?

My DVD player, MSI, stopped working. It seems it can't read the DVD drive properly anymore.
Usually, I'd put a DVD in, start the software, and it would start playing automatically.

Now, starting the software while a dvd is in the drive makes it stop responding completely. It freezes before I can do anything.
And if I start the software, insert a disk, and then go see it through the browser, it sees all the files on it but can't play them either.

All I could think of was turning the autoplay back on. But to no avail.

Anybody has a suggestion ?
(I just rented Punch Drunk Love and I won't be anle to see it. )

dirty read lens maybe, or dying drive

Dirty lens, I don't know. But the drive is fairly new.

Myabe you need to reintall the DVD program.

Already did. The program and drivers.

Hmmm, Interesting. What DVD program is it?

It's "MSI DVD", and came with my "Ge Force Ti200 pro" video card.

I downloaded and installed a trial of DirectDVD, and it worked fine. So I figured the MSIDVD software was the culprit. I re-installed it again, and now it works.
Go figure.
