on checking the version of XP you have. The one that wont let you upgrade to the SP1? It was there earlier but was it pulled?`

Right now there is no such version of XP that won't let you upgrade..the rumor is that corporate "copies" of xp won't get any updates after SP1 or won't update to SP1 at all. I have from a reliable source that this is just pure rumor and not based on any truth. so we'll find out when sp1 is officially released.
