What game changed it all?

Crystalis for the nintendo. Man that game ROCKED. Id say that one drew me in the most. Fighting monsters.. robots... you couldnt go wrong with this game. Then I fell deeper into the rpq realm with a lil game known as "Shinning Force" To this day I swear its the best rpq ive ever played in my life. I have it on emulater. Shinning force 2 only made it worse for me lmao. These three games did me in like a sheep in a wolfpack.

Doom changed it all for me. I remember going to school and then playing Doom. That was my life for like a year. Creating custom levels, dialup-coop! (WOOHOO!)... Those were the days.

sooo true!
co-op, then when u say u gotago, save the game
then turn towards partner, switch to rocket launcher
press ctrl
then say bye and exit
lol

I think Mario & Luigi definatly changed the world of entertainment systems.... So Mario Bros. 1,2, and 3 on NES are probably the games that changed the gaming world.

Hmm... i'm probably the first in this forum topic to say this, and i really don't care, but i'd have to say Zelda. I think Zelda has gone even farther than Mario has (points to Super Mario Sunshine:p ) Mario + water sprayin jetpack = uber st00pid.

Some of you may say that the new cartoon-like effect in the new Zelda game may be st00pid too, but i HIGHLY doubt that since i can't think of one zelda game that WASN'T fun.

um, hello? Oregon Trail? there's nothing better than going hunting, killing like 900lbs of food, even though you can only take 100 of it with you, or timmy dies from TB, or fording the river and losing 2 wheels. that game was the sh*t.

LOL - that game was the best. It's all about playing that on an old sh*tty apple2 on a 5.25 disk

It's funny because I think we have all been there when you kill more food than you can carry

heheh Burger time. That game was kick ass. I actually found an emulated game of that not too long ago. I forget what system it was for though.

Do u know where u found the emulated game of burger time?

Ive played them all starting with pong and they were all great! But the game that blew me away at a point when I thought I was about done with gaming was Tomb Raider. The graphics and gameplay blew me away and the view of lara croft was pretty sweet too. (Nice a$$)

Of course if you ask me what game I'll always remember the most thats easy, Fear Effect2. The subtle hints that started out in the beginning were great, but nothing prepared me for the elevator scene!! I didnt think they could do stuff like that in general release games. WAY TO GO SONY. By todays standards its quite tame, but back then whoaa......psx-porn.

OMG I played that game sooooo much.... Man that brings back memories... I would spend hours trying to beat those huge guys, I always wondered why I was so damn small and everyone else was enormous.... lol... I really remember the guy with the soda pop for somer reason....

Another game I used to play a whole lot was Simon's Quest (which was the 2nd make of the orginal game, I can't remember what it was called, I know that Simon's Quest was the subtitle for 2)

Elite on the BBC Micro computer.
Then DOOMII on the PC.

back in the day.. it was space quest for pc and Defender for atari.. oh oh and Turbo for coleco with the driving module...

in my teens it was sonic and kid chameleon for genesis

now its Phantasy Star Online for DC/Gamecube (hell yeah i have them both), GranTourismo3, Command and Conquer series, and the Unreal Tourney series..

haha i still remember playing that game when i was in elementary school, using there old apple computers. Oh that was a fun game.:) :)

Well I'd have to say Ping Pong on the 2600 Atari.
My first PC Games were:
Battle Hawks 1942
Mech Warrior
Where in Time is Carmen Sandiago
Wing Commander (This Sieries Ruled)
Quest for Glory (Originaly called Heroes Quest my RPG starter)
Wolfenstien (played this and Spear of Destiny "Halt Guard!" FPS)
Dark Sun (both of them)
Doom (played 666 lvls), Heritic, Rise of the Triad, etc.
X-Wing, Tie-Fighter(all expansions, then bought the Golds too)
War Craft II (played one after; of course I've got 3 also)
Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (This game is HUGE)
X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter, Alliance
and on and on.

I'm playing Doungeon Siege and Ever Quest at the moment!

I'm not much of a gamer any more, but...
[Oldtimer mode on]
In the arcades: Space Duel, Defender
On the Commodore 64: Ultima 3 and 4, Q*Bert
On the Amiga: Wings, Empire
And those IBM Clone things came out... I thought those would never go anywhere... :p
[/Oldtimer mode off]

this would probably fall under warez so I cannot post a link.

However, I know that they have one for regular nintendo which is a carbon copy of the origional for intelivision.

If you have a "regular nintendo" then you should be able to "find a copy" of this game.

Happy hunting silky.

i remember when i first got into computers, and half-life was released, i didnt know a huge amount at the time and i was worried if my Intel Pentium 100 would be just ok for the minimum 133 requirements, ah my first over clock:cool: . Then i remember getting a voodoo 3 2000 card for 50 quid and it changed my half-life world for ever, absolutely stunned.:D

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
