What game changed it all?

I think my forum name really gives it away. DOOM. I'd also say zelda and metriod on the snes but doom come's out top for me. That doomsday engine has gave the game a hole new lease of life for me. I remember when I was 8 or something and on holiday with my parents in france. I found this coffee table in the hotel foyer that played tennis!!

Console - Metroid & Metal Gear on NES
Computer - Unreal, UT & RTCW

I still play 4-5 rounds of UT every day so that's the game that did it for me.

August 8th 2020 - I still play UT and RTCW on occasion
