Hello,

don't know if I post this in the right section, but my firewall (SPF Pro 5.5.2525) always shows me this file trying to connect... if I block it, everything is running as usual, no apps yielling...
So, my question is, does someone know what is this file for ?

( It's located in c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS, and is named in SPF "NDIS user mode I/O Driver")

I'd like to prevent from loading at startup if it's really useless... 😉

Thank you Enyo !
I did previously perform a google search and found this thread in this forum but didn't see the info you give at that time...

Anyway, you summed it up right, I disabled this service, it didn't desappear fron SPF Pro but no activity from it anymore, until I started my pc this morning: no more ndiuio.sys showing 🙂
It was indeed useless, at least for me, everything's running ok so far 🙂

Thanx again Enyo !

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. 🙁

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
