ok, i have a 40 gig HD. 2 partitions.. partition C:\ has 3 gigs for the OS.. drive D:\ is 20 gigs.. but when i install office xp and point it to install to the d:\ . but it says that their is insufficiet disk space. the program shows that drive d has 20 gigs.. but yet, still will not install.. what could be the cause of this problem? thank you

Although you have asked office to install on D it will still dump a load of files on C. A lot of these files will be temporary but it still needs the room in the first place. To free up a fair chunk of space have you put your swap file on to D ?

Also 3GB really isn't very much breathing space for xp.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
