"Access Denied

Network policy settings prevent you from using Windows Update to download and install updates on your computer.

If you believe you have received this message in error, please check with your system administrator."

How to solve this problem?

If you are part of an AD environment (in a Domain), then this is a Group Policy setting and you won't be able to do anything about it, if you are a stand alone system (in a workgroup) then in Win XP got to start\run\gpedit.msc and search for Windows Update, I believe it's located under User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows components.

Set it to disabled...but still cant update ......got the same error message ....what else need to check?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
