Hi Guys. Norton keeps telling me I've got a virus called vyxkbs.exe in my Windows folder which it can't repair or quarantine. It's there but it won't delete. Any ideas??

if your using 2000/xp

press ctl-alt-del and get task magaer running, then open a command prompt

from task manager stop explorer.exe - from the command window goto where the file is and del it then restart explorer.exe - this is done by clicking on file then new task (run) - explorer.exe is sitting in your windows dir

Thanks for the reply. The virus is actually Downloader MSCache in the vyxkbs.exe file. How do I delete the file using the Command Prompt? It doesn't recognise the delete command.

kinda strange i just had the downloader.mscache virus as well

Modified NAV dets mean some people may be picking up parts of mscache, delete them and your clean.

thats what i did it was the single file + didn't affect my comp in any way
