voice comms wont work

im behind a linksys WAP router and everytime i try to engage a voice conversation on messenger it wont work. i hear the other party's voice but they can't here mine. on top of that, the conversation lasts about 10 secs and then it ends by itself. with netmeeting the same happens except that the conversation doesnt end, but i still cant do voice. i checked linksys' site about it and i tried the solution for messenger but it still didn't work.

anyone know how to fix this?

you need to find out what ports are used for those two apps and forward them through the linksys to your machine.
