Is there anyway to make it so different Icons are on each of the 4 desktops?

um, you mean different icons per login? then yes, just change the icons for your account, and it shouldn't affect the others,... you can do this in the display properties control panel...

Yes it's possible
use Resource Hacker on Virtual Desktop Manager(MSVDM)
and replace icons with yours
