The main page loads OK, but if I click onto the 'Forum' link -Recent Forum posts (new) - The page either just hangs or I get the list of logged on users and thats it.

If I click onto one of the new posts that loads OK.

Ive shut down my browser (IE6) and tried again but same thing.

Looks like the site had a temporary brain fart

I'm not sure if it was the site or the sites connection that had that fart. I did one short ping before site came back and had 50% packet loss.

I noticed a big hang this afternoon, took 2 minutes for frontpage to load.

Yeah, I couldn't find the cause of it.
Server matrix was fine, server load was right down.
Could well have been a particular switch we use down there

Seems to be behaving now. Because there was no server load spike I guess it is server matrix's fault, but as it was slow not down I guess it doesn't affect the SLA - even tho we are paying extra for a 100mbs connection.
