The companies behind Call of Duty and World of Warcraft are merging in a deal which could shake up the global video games industry.

Activision and Blizzard have said they will form "the world's most profitable games business" in a deal worth $18.8bn (£9.15bn).

Wow, this should get really interesting. I can only imagine the possibilities.

Holy shizzle. Finally someone to compete with EA?

Interesting. I'm hoping they don't let the Blizzard half of the deal make decisions over any new game server subs though :p
Codcraft; now there's a concept :D

ArenaNet is a computer game developer and part of NCsoft Corporation, founded in 2000 by Mike O'Brien, Patrick Wyatt and Jeff Strain, former Blizzard Entertainment members that played important roles in developing the highly successful computer games Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Diablo II, and the Battle.net gaming network. ArenaNet's offices are located in Bellevue, Washington.
In the Guild Wars community, ArenaNet is often referred to as A.Net, in a similar fashion to the abbreviation B.Net for Battle.net.

And most people say its because Blizzard had no intentions of making Diablo III ... but thats why they made Guildwars

right... shame.. cos guild wars is awesome.. but different : /

It is very close to being what all Diablo players wanted really .... It is a great game ...

Last I heard Activision was about to run out of money. This could be interesting to watch :)
