Video Codecs question

I hope this is in the right place - its my first post 😀 I believe my codecs are all a mess because some of the mpg files that I have downloaded the sound playback is out of synch. I would like to uninstall them all and re-install up-to-date codecs.
Firstly, I don't know how to uninstall them nor know what to look for also I have heard conflicting stories about which codes I should install.

I hope all this makes sense 🙂

Or just download nimos codec pack and be done with it 😀

... I wouldn't suggest installing Nimo's pack on top of everything you've got now.

The Nimo codec caused some OGG playback problems for me (in games and music). I recommend the k-lite codec pack instead.

As I stated in the previous thread, download codecs as you need them.

I agree with dreamliner. Codec packs have usually been troublesome for me in the past. Besides, there are numerous obscure codecs in these packs that I never end up using anyway.
