i have the version .04 v3c and BitPim 0.9.0 and i've found the best way to get your phone recognized the first time is by connecting the phone with your usb as soon as you see the BitPim graphic. Before i found this out, every time i wanted to use bitpim i would either have to install all the drivers again, or play around with the program to get it to recognize my phone.

Hope this helps

usually you can just go into the settings menu and refresh the list of active comm ports and reselect the motorola usb modem.

"usually" buts its not consistent (at least with mine) until i found this method. Where as before, if i connected the phone before i started the program, i would have issues with the software recognizing the phone. The same if i connected after. I know, its weird.

It's worth a shot for those who are have issues with bitpim.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
