Uxtheme.dll hacked

Miso at MSFN.org somehow managed to hack uxtheme.dl_ (a file you will find on your Windows installation CD) in such a way that Windows won't try to replace it. This is excellent news for those who make unattended installs of Windows!

It's nice not to have to use 3rd party apps to run a theme

um i think you will find NTFS has it's own version, it's around somewere.

Have you used the NTFS one in an unattended setup?

We have a patcher, this file is to be placed on the windows cd so that it's patched when you install windows.

(btw, why doesnt replacing the uxtheme.dl_ on the cd with just a patched, cab'd dll not work?)

in theory yes, looks like they cottoned onto the idea 1st.
