Was there not already a 2.0 thread? Just checked, I am using 2.1 lol

All I know is so far my torrents seem to download faster.

I have seen some hit 2MB/s and most are over 1MB/s in a short amount of time after starting torrent.

It is a built in feature that throttles your bandwith so the isps don't have to. You can disable it. But it is still something that I do not like ...

how do u enable utp without the throttling?

i changed my advanced options to default and most of my torrents seem slower

I enabled it and my speed went up. If they would make this like DHP with just utorrent users, it would be awesome .. Well, only utorrent users can use it, but if they would it like DHP; it would be even more cool ...

You can't, uTP is throttling, well more like QoS. It also comes on by default.

Also 2.x is, and may remain, banned on some private trackers as uTP isn't working just the way it should. Just and FYI before you upgrade.

Here is how to enable it and disable it. And it doesn't come on by default; at least it wasn't with mine, as I had to turn it on.

How to enable and disable it:
Preferences > Advanced, set bt.transp_disposition to:
255 – both TCP and uTP (default)
10 – uTP only
5 – TCP only

oh, ok.. thanks guys :]

well, i'll try settin it to 15 again and check the speed

^^ The link I posted above says that 255 is is both .. Either way, I put mine to 255 and it turned it on. 15 on mine didn't have it on.

From what I could find it appears that 15 and 255 are basically the same.
I guess use whatever works for you.

How to enable and disable it:
Preferences > Advanced, change bt.transp_disposition. This is now a bitfield, so you can add up the following numbers to get your desired setting.
1 - outgoing TCP
2 - outgoing uTP
4 - incoming TCP
8 - incoming uTP
Specific combinations:
255 - both TCP and uTP, incoming + outgoing (future-proof setting, always will mean this)
15 - both TCP and uTP, incoming + outgoing (default)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
