Using a TV Monitor

Hi there, currently trying to use my TV to see a DVD but XP only allows me to drop the resoution to 800x600 and I need to drop to 640x480 to get it to fit. Normally you can go in to customize and change the programs association but the one I want to change is Media Player and as that is XP based it will not go down that far, what can I do, has anyone sorted this out yet?

1. Right-click the desktop

2. Highlight and click on "Properties"

3. Click on the "Settings" tab

4. Click the "Advanced" button

5. Click the "Adapter" tab

6. Click the "List All Modes..." button

7. Choose the valid mode you desire.

8. Click the "OK" button

9. Click the "OK" button again

10. Click the "OK" button one more time
