I'm running XP pro, with several user accounts, of which I am the administrator. Does anyone know of a way to restrict users from using the USB printer? If I could just put a password on it, it would stop my housemates from printing behind my back!
Any advice appreciated.

Yes actually. Go to Control Panel> Printers and Faxes> right click on the printer icon> properties> 'security' tab. You can set your permissions/denials in there.

Hey, I didn't know that was available until i looked. Cool feature. :)

Won't let me log in with other users now - some kind of security rights problem - and takes me back to login screen. quite odd.

  Wierd... tinker around with the settings i guess. I only have one account on my system (Administrator) so i can't help you out on that one.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
