User account problems

Hi, it seems after uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Service Pack 2 (because of some technical problems) I can only log into two of my three accounts. Two are limited and the other is an administrator.

Now the problem is logging onto one of the Limited accounts... whenever I try I just see the desktop image and nothing else... It freezes and there is no hard drive activity. I did try creating a new limited and administrator account but they both froze on me as well.

Also the Event Viewer shows two errors whenever I restart the system.

Error 1: The Human Interface Device Access service terminated with the following error:
The specified module could not be found.

Error 2: The IPSEC Services service terminated with the following error:
The authentication service is unknown.

I’m not totally sure if these errors started after reinstalling the service pack or what.

sounds like you glitched out your windows, time for reinstalling!

The following error will occur if any of the three files (hidserv.dll,
mouhid.sys and mouclass.sys) are missing.

Could not start the Human Interface Device Access service on Local
Computer. Error 126: the specified module could not be found

Extract hidserv.dll, mouhid.sys and mouclass.sys from drivers.cab in the
Windows XP CD to "<Systemroot>\Windows\System32\" to fix the issue.

1.Insert Windows XP Setup CD.
2.Browse to <CD-ROM>:\i386\drivers.cab
3.Double click the drivers.cab file. The compressed files in the Cab file
will be listed.
4.Copy the three files to <SystemRoot>\windows\system32\. Reboot the
computer.

The Human Interface Device Access service will then be started.

For Error #2, you might check to see if Client for Microsoft Networks is installed. You might not actually need it, but installing it might resolve this error. Just going off of memory, you install this in your network properties where your TCP/IP Properties can be accessed.
