USB -> USB connection

Has anyone used one of these? My brother want's to connect his laptop to my pcp so that he can leach of some of my broadband....


I have the cable but the software was useless..... I tried Laplink200 and it just gave me a BSOD! 🙁

Any other ideas?!

if you have a nic in your laptop or some kind of adaptor that allows you to connect to one... just get a router and do the nasty by plugging BOTH your pc and laptop to the net at once... voila... no loss in speed either...

If you don't have a NIC in the laptop, there are some Nic to USB adapters that are not too expensive. From there you can go with a router or, cheaper, go with a cross over cable.
