Sorry for sounding like a real numpty, but are USB keyboards and mice supported during initial setup of Vista?

Yes, I've got a USB mouse and a USB keyboard and they have been fine to do clean installs of Vista 32 bit and Vista 64 bit (SP1).

Many thanks for your reply. I am going to install Vista Ultimate 64bit as advised by yourself in my previous post.

Bluetooth desktops work fine as well.

It depends on how old the MB is. Some of the older Bios may have issues. There may or may not be an update. The same applies to XP. I have an HP at work that won't even cold boot with a USB mouse on any OS.

Yes, but ensure you have USB support enabled on your motherboard. Some boards require the use of the LEGACY mode so make sure that is active for you.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
