I saw an ad in Australian PC over here for a usb network cable. It had a "thing" in the middle and then a usb plug on each end.

My question is, could I just use a plug to plug usb cable to "network" my computers??

It is just a thought at the moment, my pc isn't finished (as it says in the sig).

No, you need the cable with the "thing" in the middle to network via USB.

This cable was only $50. I have the cat5 laying around, otherwise network cards are about $20 each.

I just realised that I have an a7n8xd with built in network cards, will cost me a grand total of ~$20 to do this.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
