Ok i have a usb 2.0 hard drive and usb 2.0 cd burner. i have a usb 2.0 cardbus with 4 port. My problem is when i connect my external hard drive into usb 2.0 cardbus it transfer file slower than usb 1.1. Many times it crashes my computer. Mu cd burner never starts to burns anything when i attemp to burn something. It starts as if it's going to burn but it just dosnt start burning.

Hi Jay

Just a thought -

1. Does your mobo support USB 2.0 (not many do as yet)?

2. Have you downloaded the USB 2.0 drivers from MS?

Does the cable support USB 2.0? Is it perhaps too long?

Probably not since I guess you got the cable with the burner but what the hey. :)

I have tried everything to solve this problem. Even i bought second usb 2.0 cardbus and still same problem.
This this is drving me crazy. Sometimes i just wanna chop up my notebook and throw it in the garbage.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
