*Urgent* DHCP server quit working

Re: *Urgent* DCHP server quit working

Hey Guys,

Sorry about not posting today,

The boss from that office told me he didn't need my services anymore, so I couldn't get the error ID codes.

Right about now, I wish I knew more about Windows 2003 Servers.

Thanks a million, for all your help Guys.

I don't know how it will affect a DC, but you could try System Restore ?
(would seriously suggest googling that before trying though!)

At the end of the day the DC doesn't have to be the DHCP server and you could always use another, but it is definately irrititaing and who knows what else they might have broken.

uninstall the DHCP service from control panel > add/remove programs > windows components, reboot, reinstall DHCP.

Should fix it.

If not go find a shotgun

Your about a month late. Wish I had saw this earlier. What gets me upset is that the boss allowed someone to f with the server and then it became his problem and then they let him go. IT guys always have to deal with morons.

i feel sad for u. Should have configured as static IP for all the clients when the issue arises. The boss is too harsh on you.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
