1. We need some ideas on what motherboard to go for and the difference between them?

2.How can you tell which case is compatable with which motherboard?

3.Finally, what memory is compatable with which board?

MP has something with it's cache that's different from XP.

MP stands for mulitprocessor, so pretty much, no, not for a single CPU rig, you do not need it.
