Nvidia has announced a standard for add-in video upgrades for all classes of laptops. Nvidia has said it will be an open standard so other vendors (aka ATI) can have upgrade offerings too. See the link below.

Many mainstream laptop vendors have bought into the Nvidia standard so it looks like life is about to get much better for the portable computing crowd. :)

great news for laptop users it means they dont have to bin them every few years (if they use them as a dsktop replacement)

well alienware already offers this in their laptops

but of course this will be a great thing to come to laptops!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
