Unreal tournament - Shitty sound fx -

When I play Unreal tournament the music is ok but
the sound fx are not clear at all...

there's like a whispering sound... weird!?

Here my info whit all the latest drivers


Asus a7v266 motherboard
msi gforce 2 ti 64 mb ddram
xp 1700+
512 mb ddr ram
soundblaster live 5.1 whit the latest drivers...

Anyone whit info!?

Is it the latest MS or Creative drivers? I'd try the MS drivers if your not using them.

Are you sure the "whispering" isnt static or interference of some kind?

Drivers

I have the latest SB drivers and it works fine on all the other games...

The whispering sound is only in the sound fx of unreal not the music and it only does it in that game...

Weird, I never heard that when I had my Live card.

Humor me here...does the whispering coincide with your moving the mouse?


EDIT: also, do you have any EAX sound effects enabled?

I got the surround sound system and i would like to use it


It does'nt happen when I move the mouse and my eax is enable
