unread mail messages

i cannot get my logon screen to dispay how many unread email messages i have!

i use outlook express, which checks both a hotmail account and a pop3 account.

i've tried going into tweakUI. i made sure it was enabled and did a repair on it.

why won't it work? do i have to have some service running in the background?

you may need to fiddle wiht something in the User Accounts section of the control panel

uhhhh i already tried that. that's kindof a no-brainer

dont know then, it appeared on mine, and I didnt want it so I only really know how I turned it off.
Are you using the default login screen or a custom one, the custom one might not be able to display it, not sure why but you never know.

i was using a custom one and i thought that might be why, but i changed to the default and it still doesnt work. i'll stick with the default until i get it working.
