Isn't it the same situation how people can "tweak" Nvidia Dets and ATI Cats? Are they allowed?

Yes, its in the rights of the customer to do so provided they arent rebadging the OS or something, you are legally allowed to buy WinXP for example, then tune it or something (under the hood not just with extra apps and so on) and use your tuned version. (my understanding anyway)

I did, it gave errors and it told me I had to use Windows 98 to install it. Guess it doesn't work on XP then :( :p :run:
