Hi Guys,

I have an "ISScript" and a "DAO" programs listed in my Add/Remove list. I have no idea what they, how they got there, and how come they are putting up such a fight as I try to uninstall them. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Heeter

To get them off your Add/Remove Programs list, open up Regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and look for the keys corresponding to those two programs under that. Deleting the keys will get them off your Add/Remove Programs list.

Thanks again, Net.

BTW, would you know how they got in there in the first place?

Ok,

I have just found this thread and I want to know... in reg-edit, if I find entries from any programs that I am certain are not on my PC, can I just delete them? or will they mess up my system?

Thanks

:)

You should somehow pick very wisely.
It may cause problems you know.
Back-up first before doing so.

Lots of 3rd party software does this too e.g. JV16 Powertools, Tweak XP, Tweakall etc

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
