a file name 'CAEFENIL.' (zero in size) on the desktop, when i trying to delete it report with 'cannot read from source' and deny to delete.
try booting with a WINPE CD and change to this directory to try delete but the same message appear..
any method?

many thanks

see if you can rename it and delete or move it and delete

see if you can navigate to it from another user profile and delete

if those don't work there are a few cnd commands which someone will come in and tell you

also rename or move the file doesnt work.
the file attrib is +a and +s only.

Almost seems as if the disk itself is having problems reading the sectors of your hard drive where the file resides. I would try running a CHKDSK /f from the Command line on your volume the file lives on, see what gets repaired and then try again.
