How would i go about updating my Bios i have VIA Apollo Pro chipset which is not the worlds best but there have been some improvements via bios flashing, so how i would i go about getting a true dos boot to do this with just XP pro installed on my system?

Cheers

Sometimes it's not Necessary, you can now flash your bios from windows. For an example, Asus have live update on there website which automatically downloads the latest bios for your board, flashes your bios and then reboots.

I have used it before and it works.

Since this is probably not the case, just go to My Computer, rightclick of the A-drive, and choose format.... Check the Make an MS-DOS bootdiskette > Start. That should do it.

of course if your hd is ntfs it won't see it when booting from disk

Since his BIOS probably isn't NTFS (I'll eat my hat if it is), that shouldn't be a problem.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
