Trouble with IE

For some reason, whenever I close an Internet Explorer window this message appears:

IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at "0x02372008" referenced memory at "0x02372008". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program

That is word for word. It's strange and it happens every single time I close a window. Can anyone offer any help please?

i would clear all cookies, and delete anything in c:\windows\downloaded program files.
empty all the temp internet files as well, from the tools >internet options on any ie page. if that fails run 2 apps called spybot and adaware, as a last resort find an app called hijack this and post the results here.

Thanks GoNzO I did everything there, except the last one, and I think it's fixed. I should be doing all of those things regularly anyway, so I'll just try to do them more often to avoid this problem in the future.
