Trouble upgrading 98-2...

Hi!

I'm currently trying to upgrade my Windows 98-2 to XP Pro. I installed it under Windows, but when the computer restart, it asks me to insert the CD of XP into de CD drive and press Enter.

I do it but nothing work, it seems it doesn't recognize my CD drive or CD. 🙁

Any solutions or tips ? 😕

Have you tried setting your comp up to boot from the XP cd and upgrade from there? alot of times that goes alot smoother then attempting to do it from inside windows

Boot from an 98 flop with cd rom support

After booting from the disk

go to your cdrom

select i386 and then run winnt.exe
example: e:\i386\winnt.exe
